AREAS OF PRACTICE

*Family Law*

Like her father did as an attorney, Corinne focuses her practice primarily in the area of family law. This work includes divorce, dissolution, post-decree custody issues, juvenile abuse, neglect and dependency cases (where Children’s Services are involved), third party non-parent custody actions, paternity and child support.

Corinne serves extensively as both an attorney for children and a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) in both domestic relations and juvenile courts in Summit, Portage, Medina and Stark counties. Corinne also serves as a volunteer GAL through Summit County’s CASA program and is on the Board of Directors of the Ohio CASA/GAL Association. Corinne has a passion for helping families, and especially children, through difficult family issues.

*Collections*

Aside from family law, Corinne also practices extensively in the area of collections. Corinne has been named Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General and is charged with the duty of collecting taxes and other judgments owed to the State of Ohio and its various agencies. As Special Counsel, Corinne has appeared in front of many of Ohio’s 88 counties’ courts of common pleas.  From this work, Corinne has a unique knowledge of collection law and can use that knowledge to help you collect on money owed to you, whether you already have a judgment against another or want to obtain one. Corinne will consider special contingency fees arrangements on collection matters.

*Criminal Law*

Corinne has experience both as a prosecutor and defense attorney, which gives her a good understanding of criminal law issues and how to best represent her criminal law clients.

Corinne also represents juveniles in delinquency cases in the juvenile courts. Corinne has represented defendants in both misdemeanor and felony charges.

*Estate Planning / Probate*

In regards to estate planning, Corinne regularly drafts wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents for her clients and completes such work quickly, so as to give her clients the peace of mind they are seeking in regards to their final dispositions.

Corinne also practices before the probate court on issues such as administering estates, guardianships and adoptions. Corinne will also provide discounted estate planning services to police, fire and EMS servicemen and women, as well as members of the United States Military as a tribute to their selfless service and to her grandfathers (both retired military) and brother in law (an active Marine).
